Underground storage tank removal is often necessary when the tank is no longer in service or is suspected to be leaking product to the environment. Our work begins with contractor tendering to ensure that the best price is realized for tank removal work. We then arrange to have the contents removed from the tank for secure disposal. Often, product can be recycled or reused elsewhere at little expense to our client. Once pump-out is complete, the tank and related piping is removed from the ground. In concert with the tank removal program, RiskCheck provides environmental monitoring and sampling within the excavation to assess for possible contamination. In the event that contaminated soils are encountered onsite, RiskCheck reviews the test results with the client and develops a remedial program to achieve the client’s objectives.
